Public Service Virtual Cycle Challenge

The Public Service Virtual Cycle Challenge aims to encourage public service officers and members of the Civil Service Club (CSC) to stay active during this challenging Covid-19 situation. Participants can cycle at their own pace and time to achieve the goal.

ELIGIBILITY

The duration of the Virtual Cycle Challenge will be from 1 to 21 March 2021. 

The Public Service Virtual Cycle Challenge is open to all Public Service Officers, employees of registered former Statutory Boards and members of the Civil Service Club.

 

REGISTRATION

Registration for the categories can be done individually through https://web.42race.com/race-bundle/csc2021_cycle .  

Registration is free of charge.

To take part Challenge Team of 4, a participant must register for the Challenge 500Km and invite members to join a team.  

The closing date for registration is 20 March 2021

 

PERIOD OF CYCLE

Participants must complete their cycling activities anytime from 1 to 21 March 2021 at any locations.  

 

CATEGORY AND EVENTS

The Public Service Virtual Cycle Challenge comprise the following categories and events: 

a)      Novice 100km (Individual Male/Female)

b)      Intermediate 200km (Individual Male/Female)

c)      Challenge 500km (Individual Male/Female)

d)      Challenge Team of 4 (Any Gender) – Minimum 500km per team member

 

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Participants need to complete the stipulated distances of the categories within the event period, to be awarded finisher's e badges.

Change of Category is not allowed.

Cycling using outdoor bikes and indoor bikes are both accepted.

Teams taking part in Challenge Team of 4 must comply with the following:

A participant needs to register for the Challenge 500km and invite 3 other members to join a team; 

Each team shall comprise 4 members;

Team members can be of any gender; and

A participant is allowed to join only one team. Switching of teams after the commencement of the event is not permitted.

The event is based on honour system and the organiser will do periodic checks on participants’ submissions. Accounts of participants may be suspended if fraudulent results are found.
