The Thymio robot was designed by the Robotic Systems Laboratory (LSRO) of the Ecole Polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) together with the Cantonal Art School of Lausanne. The robot's design philosophy was focused on assisting educators in developing highly effective lesson plans in 7 programming languages with a single, open-source robot (VPL, VPL3, SCRATCH, BLOCKLY, ASEBA, PYTHON, ROS).
Participants are required to have their own MacBook or Microsoft laptops to do the coding.
