AN extraordinary event took place on Sunday 12 May 2013
a lunch specially dedicated to all mothers and mothers-to-
be. In total, 380 guests turned up to celebrate Mothers Day,
of which over a hundred were mothers. Sons and daughters
gave thanks to mummy dearest with a sumptuous treat to a
delectable eight-course lunch spread!
That afternoon, the audience was all giggles and smiles
engaging with Drag Queen performances and stage games
led by a humorous emcee Lay Cheng.
A memento was presented to every mum at the lunch. Two
special gifts were also prepared for the oldest and youngest
mother around that day. It was a touching moment as gifts
and stories were shared.
This year, the Club introduced a photo booth at the event.
Every guest had fun taking candid photos with props at the
photo booth. What better way to celebrate Mothers Day than
to create these memorable keepsakes with mum, our personal
superheroes. The day ended on a high note, with 30 lucky
draw winners walking away with an awesome prize each. All
who were present were touched by the heartfelt salute to all
mothers. Everyone left for home in high spirits as they looked
forward to the next Mothers Day celebration in 2014!
