The Public Service Rock Climbing Competition held at the Club CSC @ 2nd Runner-Up: Ministry of Defence

In the finals, two teams with the fastest timings were pit against each other. In 3rd Runner-Up: Ministry of Social and Family Development
the Women’s Category, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) (Team 1) beat Ministry Overall Position People’s Association
of Social and Family Development to emerge champions, while Ministry of Overall Champion:
Defence out climbed MHA (Team 2) to come in top of the Men’s Category. 1st Runner-Up:
Points scored from the two positions were enough to see MHA clinch the 2nd Runner-Up:
overall championship title. 3rd Runner-Up:
Riding on a growing interest in rock climbing in MHA, the agency was able to
field seven teams in total; five in the Men’s Category and two in the Women’s
Category. Training to build up speed and endurance was ongoing for team
members but intensified as the date of the competition drew near. With many
of the members on shift duties, it was extremely challenging to train together,
according to Muhammad Yazid, MHA’s Climbing Convenor. He expressed his
utmost appreciation to the team members’ supervisors for their understanding
and being accommodating to the training schedules.
The teams received their prizes from Guest-of-Honour Mr Loh Chin Hui,
CSC Executive Committee Member.

Together with our partners, our volunteers have raised
more than $4.1m to support various worthy causes.
