Taiwan, Here We Go Again!

Our Vice Chairman Paul Chan has a soft spot for Taiwan.
After two trips in 2013 and 2014, he will once again be
leading another group in november this year. 30 participants
were excited about the attractions that Paul showed them at a
presentation on 16 May 2015.

Many in the group were convinced to sign up on the spot! The main
attractions were the beautiful scenery, challenging hilly and winding
roads, and an excellent variety of Taiwanese and ethnic food. More
importantly, the tour will be safe and professionally organised.

To cater to a larger number of cyclists, the trip this year will comprise
two groups: Hard Cyclists and Easy Cyclists.

Land of the Thunder Dragon Bhutan – Your ultimate cycling challenge.
                                                                           Tiger’s Nest
Guest Speaker Dr Kamar Wangchuk, gave a talk and slide presentation
entitled, Bhutan -The Cyclist’s Ultimate Adventure, to about
50 members and guests at CSC Changi on Saturday, 23 May 2015.
His fascinating talk about the little known Land of the Thunder Dragon
was well received. They wanted to find out more about riding in this
place of adventure, happiness, and spiritual enlightenment.

A special package is being put together and the details will be
announced soon. This ride is not for the faint hearted. Only experienced
riders with the right fitness level and guts to match may consider taking
the ultimate challenge. However,
there will also be an easier option
for less adventurous cyclists to
enjoy a more leisurely ride, soaking
in the sights around the foothills
and villages.

the six iconic bridges is the
main attraction. Robin Tan with
Co-leader, Sandra Loke, led 18
members and their guests on
a ride from 9 to 10 May 2015,
and had whirl of a time.
