SG50 Exhibition. There is an exhibition on “The Tools
that Built Singapore” which will be held at Tessensohn
Clubhouse from 18 to 23 August 2015 and at Bukit Batok
Clubhouse from 25 to 30 August 2015. The exhibition
will feature tools that were used in the past by various
tradesmen. For details, please refer to page 30.
National Day Parade “Live” Screening. Changi Clubhouse
will celebrate national Day on 9 August 2015 with the
screening of the national Day Parade on a big screen at the
lawn. There will be fringe activities, bazaar booths, vendors
selling traditional snacks, free popcorn and candy floss, and
lucky draws prizes to be won. Do something different this
national Day, come to Changi Resort for a picnic with your
family and watch national Day by the beach. For details,
please refer to page 27.
Public Service Sports and Family Day 2015. This event
will be held at Marina Barrage on the 19 September 2015
from 8am to 1pm. This year, it takes on a SG50 theme.
Participants will be able to enjoy games and snacks of
yesteryear that their parents or grandparents were
familiar with. There will be a 50km cycling event by
50 cyclists from Changi Clubhouse to Marina Barrage.
The event will kick off with a 5km walk along Garden by
the Bay-Bay East. This will be followed by a Dragon Boat
race and telematch games by the participating ministries
and statutory boards. There will also be games booths,
complimentary snacks for both adults and children, and
kite flying. All these are free for all public officers, members reciprocal members. All reciprocal guests must comply
and their families. For details, please refer to page 17.
Tessensohn Clubhouse Silver Jubilee
Congratulations to Tessensohn Clubhouse! It celebrates
its Silver Jubilee from July to September 2015. There will
be a host of activities organised and discounts offered
to commemorate this occasion. Do check out the
details. There will be an Open House at the Clubhouse
on 5 September 2015 from 10am to 4pm with cooking
demonstrations, a flea market, performances, goody bags,
and lucky draws. For bowling enthusiasts, this period is
the best time to visit Planet Bowl to enjoy great bowling
and Food & Beverage discounts, mystery prizes, and lucky

draws. Do check out the bowling website for more details.
Tessensohn Clubhouse will launch its microsite in August
2015 to commemorate its Silver Jubilee. Also, as part of its
celebration, a Mid-Autumn Festival will be organised at the
Clubhouse on 17 September 2015.
Social Activities
The National Day Wine and Dine celebrations will be
held on 14 August 2015 at Tessensohn Clubhouse, Qian XI
Restaurant. This event is always very well subscribed and
diners are encouraged to don the national colours of red
and white when attending this event. Of course, there will
be a prize for the best dressed male and female diners. Join
us for an evening of dining, fun, entertainment and loads
of lucky draw prizes.
The Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations held at Bukit Batok
Clubhouse on 14 September 2015 promises an evening of
fun, interesting performances, games, light refreshments,
and a lantern walk around the Clubhouse. Members only
need to pay $6 to participate in all these activities.
Reciprocal Club Arrangement
with Civil Service Club, UK
A piece of good news to all members! We are having a
reciprocal club arrangement with the Civil Service Club of
United Kingdom (UK). CSC Singapore has entered into an
agreement with CSC UK on 29 May 2015. This is based on
a mutual understanding of shared values and ethos; and a
desire to increase benefits for our members, by providing
our members with access to facilities, premises and
accommodation upon presentation of valid identification
and club membership; at either Club by either member.
The invitation may extend to guests of that member, for
up to six guests or more with prior notice. The visiting
member shall have access to all Club benefits of either
Club. All rules affecting host club members apply to
with the policies and byelaws of the host club.

The CSC UK has dining and accommodation facilities.
Members who wish to visit CSC UK are required to bring
their CSC membership card to gain access to the Club. If
accommodation facility is required, prior notice needs to
be given to CSC UK to book the facility.
