Update
Thrust and Direction for FY 15/16
With the completion of the upgrading and renovation
of Changi Clubhouse, there will be no major upgrading
for the Club for FY 15/16. Having made substantial
improvements to the hardware of the Club, we will, for
the year ahead, focus on enhancing customer service as
well as maximise Information Technology to improve
interactivity and customisation of each member’s
needs. An external research company will be appointed
to conduct a survey on members’ needs, expectations
and satisfaction level in the second half of this FY. The
outcome of this survey will inform the Club’s plans
and map out its emphasis for FY 16/17. The Club will
trim energy consumption further and work towards a
more eco-friendly Club by harnessing LED technology,
solar technology and other energy-saving initiatives.
The Clubhouses will also continue to be spruced up
with minor upgrades and renovations.
Re-opening Of Civil Service Club @Changi
The highlight for FY 15/16 would be the official re-opening organising a golf outing for members and public
of Civil Service Club @ Changi, graced by the President
of Singapore, Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, on 4 May 2015. The
Club will disseminate a commemorative issue of Fusion
magazine that features this official opening. This magazine and lunch, a round of 18-hole golf game with buggy
would be sent to our members by the end of May 2015.
SG50
As part of the nationwide SG50 celebrations, a slew of
SG50-related activities will be organised, beginning with
a SG50 Public Service Bowling event at Resort Bowl on
4 May 2015 between 3pm to 6pm. There will be a SG50
Cooking Competition at the Tessy Kitchen in Tessensohn
Clubhouse on 4 July 2015. This will be followed by an
exhibition on “Tools that Built Singapore”, to be held
at Tessensohn Clubhouse in August/September 2015.
A SG50-themed Public Service Sports and Family Day
will also be held at Marina Barrage on 19 September
2015 between 8am to 1pm. We are also extending
the SG50 room promotions at Changi Chalet, where
members can enjoy their second night stay at 50% off
during the period from 1 July to 31 October 2015.
Social Activities
We have lined up a host of activities for the next
two months. The Mother’s Day lunch to be held at

Qian Xi Restaurant, Tessensohn Clubhouse, on 10 May
2015, has been fully subscribed and we thank members
for demonstrating their filial piety by supporting this
event. We look forward to the same support for the
Father’s Day Dinner to be held at the same venue on
12 June 2015.
Movie Treats: The Club is organising two movie treats
exclusively for our members and public officers at Lido
Cineplex in June 2015. Both the blockbusters, Jurassic
World and Minions, which will be screened on 15 and 22
June 2015 respectively, are fully booked. Little wonder,
as the movie packages are really good value for money!
The Club will also be organising a number of children’s
activities as well as parent and child bonding activities
during the June holidays. Do check them out in the
Club’s website or on pages 24 to 31.
Sport Activities
Golf at Tanjong Puteri Golf Resort: The Club is
officers at Tanjong Puteri Golf Resort on 15 May 2015.
The golfing package of $95 for members and $99 for
public officers includes two-way transport, breakfast
and of course prizes. Given what is provided, this is a
steal not to be missed!
Healthy Lifestyle Walk: This is free for all participants.
The Club will handle all logistics for the event, and will
even throw in drinks and lucky draw prizes! All that is
needed is for public officers and members to come
forward and participate. It will be held at the Green
Corridor (the abandoned railway track) on Friday, 12
June 2015 between 4 to 6 pm.
Information Technology Enhancement
Website: The microsite of Changi Clubhouse,
www.cscchangi.sg, is fully operational with all the
required information of the Clubhouse updated.
Members who wish to know more about Changi
Clubhouse as well as book the facilities can surf this
microsite. The Club will be setting up the microsite for
Tessensohn Clubhouse, targeted to be ready by July
2015, and Bukit Batok Clubhouse by September 2015.
Once the microsites for the Clubhouses are operational,
