Power walking

participants braved the afternoon heat on
Tuesday, 25 March 2014 and enthusiastically
embarked on the CsC Walk at MacRitchie
Reservoir park. The event concluded with
prizes for lucky draw winners.

the blistering heat did not daunt the
participants, who gamely completed the 5km
trail. the event kicked off with an adrenaline-
pumping aerobics warm up session in the
late afternoon to stretch out stiff muscles in
preparation for the walk. AT CLUB CSC @ BUKIT BATOK

Post warm up, everyone gathered at the start- 10am – 5pm
point. guest-of-honour and csc executive
committee Member Mr Wilson ong sounded
the air horn, marking the start of the walk,
aimed at promoting an active lifestyle amongst
public offcers.
some participants chose to brisk walk while
others opted for a leisurely stroll, enjoying
the gentle breeze that offered some respite
from the heat. the trail was relatively easy
and tall leafy trees provided shade from the
scorching sun.

the walk offered the 100 over participants an
opportunity to exercise while exploring a spot
of nature. i really enjoyed the walk. i haven t
been to MacRitchie Reservoir in the longest
time and its a welcome change from being
cooped inside an air-conditioned room, said
participant Miss Josephine seet.

the event ended with a lucky draw and three
top prizes and 10 consolation prizes were
handed out to lucky participants!
