French Award In 2014, CSC held the International Diploma DELF A1 (Basic French), DELF
Diploma A2 (Intermediate French) and DELF B1 (Advanced French) Preparatory
Courses for the first time. The graduates did very well, registering a
Presentation 94% passing rate. On Friday, 30 January 2015, the French Award Diploma
Presentation was held to honour the successful candidates.

French teacher Freddie Tan, who has an honours degree in French, shared
that the full credit goes to the students themselves. They had to juggle
busy work schedules to attend the course and exams.

“The award presentation is an appreciation of their discipline,
commitment and achievement. Full credit must also go to the admin
and logistic staff of CSC whose clockwork precision has enabled the
students to fully concentrate on their studies without any disruption.”

The best student for the DELF A2 and DELF B1 examinations was Ms
Jamie Tay. She said, “The range of courses and activities at CSC has
ballooned over the years and there is truly something for everyone. I
am glad to have taken up the French language classes at CSC. Fred is a
dedicated and helpful teacher who goes beyond the call of duty. Our
class is tight-knit and CSC provides an environment that is conducive
to learning! Thumbs up!”
